Taking the Reins
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) combined with Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) training work to support youth's growth, confidence, and wellbeing.
Taking the ReinsĀ EAL Coach:
Leina Reinhardt
Leina has worked extensively with children, teens and adults throughout the past 30 years
and is passionate about connecting horses to humans of all ages and skill level. The majority
of her lesson riders start with riding lessons adhering to the standards of Certified
Horsemanship Association (CHA). As specific issues arise, she incorporates EAL sessions to
enhance individual learning and personal development.
Youth Individual and Group Sessions:
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) training work hand-in-hand to support children’s growth, confidence, and wellbeing.
Together, they provide both emotional support and structured skill development in a safe, engaging environment with horses.

Youth Camp
Taking the Reins is a 4-day youth camp that blends connection with horses, time outdoors, and basic horsemanship skills in a supportive, confidence-building environment. Campers will learn fundamentals like safe handling, grooming, leading, and respectful communication with horses.
Just as important, kids get to connect with other youth in a positive, screen-free space. Through team activities, crafts, group challenges, and plenty of laughter, campers build friendships, practice encouragement and respect, and discover they’re not alone—learning how to belong, communicate, and work together as a herd.
